Speaker Series at KCC

Topic: Tennessee's College Tuition Waiver Program for Seniors

Questions: Have you ever dreamt of going back to college? Or just taking some of those elective courses you never got to pursue as an undergraduate? Are you looking to brush up on some skills needed for your volunteer pursuits? Are you ready to explore some skill areas that may be useful for a retirement hobby? Would supplemental nursing skills be useful for the long term home care of a parent or spouse?

Who: Guy Calkins, Kahite Lifelong Learning Advocate, will share basic background information and resources for getting started in taking in-person college classes at nearby universities.

What: See how seniors (60+ & 65+) can attend classes at the University of Tennessee or other public colleges for very small administrative fees. You can also attend Cleveland State, Roane State or Pellissippi State Community Colleges, or TCAT (vocational) Colleges for reduced fees. Earn a degree or just take classes for personal growth and enjoyment.
