Universal Class at BCPL - Blount County Public Library

Over 500 classes you can take in the comfort of your own home. These courses are free to members of the Blount County Public Library. Visit the Blount Library Website for a library membership application (Library Card Link). You can join as a full member for $25 (non-Blount County Resident) or $40 for a 4-year e-Card which gives you access to all electronic / digital resources. Use your BCPL card to open your Universal Class Account.

EdX (100's of Free Courses Available)

EdX was created by Harvard and MIT to provide free world-class courses to anyone with internet. It has evolved into a broader platform with both "free" and "for fee" courses offered by many institutions and companies. Search for "free" to see all free courses or select filters as desired.

Khan Academy (All Courses are Free)

Khan Academy offers free academic courses. They have also expanded into many exploratory areas with partners and collegiate level AP® Courses in a variety of subjects. They also offer various Life Skills courses.

Coursera (100's of Free Courses)

Coursera is one of several dozen platforms who provide access to online course content for providers. These providers can be institutions, companies or private individuals. Many courses are free, and many more charge a fee. Some courses can be audited for "free" while earning credit will be charged a fee.
